DANCE MODALITIES / SUB MODALITIES

ART. 6 CONCEPTS

  • Dance Modality: These are the different structured dance techniques outlined in the All Dance International Regulation. All Dance International features 27 dance modalities or techniques. Examples include Ballet, Jazz, Tap, etc.
  • Dance Submodality: These are subdivisions within each modality. All Dance International has 49 submodalities. Examples include Ballet Fragment or Repertoire, Ballet Original Creation, Neoclassical, Contemporary Ballet, Jazz Lyrical, Jazz Open, Jazz Theatrical, Jazz Latin, Jazz Contemporary, Jazz Modern, Tap Broadway, Tap Rhythmic, etc.

ART. 7 SEGMENTATION OF MODALITIES AND SUBMODALITIES INTO GROUPS

To align with the global growth of dance and ensure efficient organization, dance modalities and submodalities will be segmented into groups based on specialties and artistic affinities to promote inclusivity and the development of dance in all its expressions.

This structure allows for:

  1. Specialization: Grouping styles according to their technical and artistic characteristics.
  2. Global Adaptation: Reflecting international diversity and trends.
  3. Efficiency: Enhancing organizational management.

The Groups Are:

    • Group “Academic Stage Dances”
    • Group “World Cultures”
    • Group “Social Dances”
    • Group “Urban Styles”
    • Group “Dance & Show”
