ART.16 ALL DANCE SPANISH DANCES

SPANISH

These dances are all dance expressions from Spain. This modality may contain 2 or more of the following styles: Bolera School, Regional School or Folklore, Flamenco School, or Spanish classic.

It began to develop in Andalusia, its execution constitutes a variant of Spanish dance and classical dances; The dances that characterize the Bolera school are Ole de la Curra, Jaleo de Jerez, Sevillana Bolera, etc.

They are characterized by being the most important cultural manifestation of each city, among them we find: Valenciana, Jota, Sevillana, Muñeiras, Sardanas, etc.

It has origins in Andalusia, flamenco interprets the song with smooth and elegant movements that are sometimes shown with intense ‘tapping’ or twists; the dances that characterize flamenco are: tangos, bulerías, alegrías, etc.

It is the free combination of steps and choreography, based on popular dances such as Flamenco and Escuela Bolera. For its performance, castanets and classic slippers are normally used; the dances that characterize the Spanish classics are: Capricho Español, Las Bodas de Luis Alonso, Suite Española etc.

In the performances, shoes typical of this technique should be used. Acrobatics or gymnastic elements will not be allowed within this modality. Likewise, any prerecorded sound on the musical track that simulates the tapping or percussion of the dancers is sanctioned.
