LEVELS, DIVISIONS, SUBDIVISIONS AND CHOREOGRAPHIC TIME

ART. 13 LEVELS

They are divided into seven levels: New AllDancers, Student, Pre-professional, Professional, Open Pro, Student-Open and Open.

They are novice dancers, meaning they are beginning in dance in general regardless of style, modality, sub-modality, or dance. Registration at this level will be allowed up to the pre-youth division. The same dancer’s registration at this level will be permitted in up to three championships, over a period of up to two years.

At this level, single turns (1 single turn or pirouette), basic acrobatics involving body support on the floor such as rolls or with the support of 2 hands on the floor will be allowed (aerial or high-impact acrobatic elements will not be allowed) except for a one-handed cartwheel. Simple jumps that do not involve a 180° opening of both legs in the air will be allowed.

In Ballet, the use of pointe shoes is not allowed for this level, nor will the registration of dancers at the New Alldancers level in the Ballet Repertoire or Fragment sub-modality be allowed.

Performing double turns or medium to high difficulty, acrobatics with support from only one hand or without hands, jumps with a 180° leg extension, and the use of pointe shoes in Ballet will be considered student level and will result in a deduction for each element executed that does not correspond to the New AllDancers level.

Note: New AllDancers must register in all dance modalities as New AllDancers; they cannot mix levels.

IMPORTANT: Dancers registered at the New AllDancers level may switch to the student level, but once the level is changed, they cannot return to the initial level in any subsequent championship. Choreographies at the New AllDancers level are exclusive to the special mentions of the New Alldancers Awards.
